Recently a well-known personality Gaurav Taneja, popularly known as Flying beast appeared on Shark Tank India Season 4.

Let’s know if the popular influencer, youtuber Gaurav Taneja manages to impress the Sharks and is able to crack the deal or get rejected by the Sharks.

Gaurav Taneja Shark Tank India Journey

Gaurav Taneja Shark Tank India journey was not less than a roller coaster ride. The influencer appears in episode number 8 of Shark Tank India. In that episode he shared his entire journey from being a pilot to becoming an influencer, building a YouTube channel with over 9 million subscribers, and an entrepreneur.

Gaurav Taneja Shark Tank India Pitch

Gaurav Taneja along with co-founder Raj Gupta pitched the Sharks for their fitness & wellness protein brand called BEASTLIFE.

They mentioned impressive metrics such as, they gained ₹1 crore in sales within an hour, all thanks to flying beast’s massive online reach on popular social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube. Gaurav Taneja Shark Tank India asked for ₹1 crore in exchange for 1% equity, placing valuation at ₹100 crore.

Shark Tank India judges were stunned by Gaurav Taneja’s this achievement “₹1 crore sales within an hour”. Judge Vineeta Singh’s reaction was like “what are you doing here, you earn ₹1 crore in an hour”.

Judge Aman Gupta and Peyush Bansal were impressed by the product and Gaurav’s social media driven sales. Judge Kunal Bahl was questioning him how an IIT graduate and pilot ended up launching a supplement brand.

Shark Tank India judges bashed him as he failed to provide specific details, for hiding his actual income from social media handles, lacking business clarity regarding active users, monthly growth and profitability.

Questions were raised about Gaurav’s multiple ventures and his divided focus across his influencer career, ghee brand, multiple YouTube channels and this supplement product BeastLife.

Equity split also raised eyebrows: Gaurav holds 40%, Raj 11%, Varun Alagh from Mamaearth at 30%, yet asking for ₹1 crore for a mere 1% stake — Sharks deemed it overvalued.

Did Shark Tank Gaurav Taneja Cracked Deal or Not?

Unfortunately Shark Tank India Gaurav Taneja (Flying Beast) faced rejection on the Shark Tank India Season 4 floor. Shark judges criticized Gaurav Taneja for managing too many ventures at once and depending too much on delegation. Judges suggested, him to shut down his YouTube channel.

Judge Anupam Mittal dug into the business and pointed out mixed commitments of Gaurav. The fiery moment of this episode was when Anupam Mittal bluntly told Gaurav Taneja: “You are a good influencer but a terrible entrepreneur”.

Somewhere judges thought that neither he (Gaurav Taneja) nor his co‑founders Raj Gupta were fully serious and dedicated to making their supplement brand BeastLife a long‑term success. Due to the following concerns and unresolved doubts, all the Sharks declined to invest in Gaurav Taneja’s supplement brand.

What does Shark Tank Gaurav Taneja have to say about this episode?

When Shark Tank India Gaurav Taneja was talked to after this episode, he said that his experience on Shark Tank India show taught him to handle major stage rejection, he learned valuable things from his Shark Tank experience.

Public reaction on Shark Tank India Gaurav Taneja Episode

Some people are wondering why Gaurav Taneja came on Shark Tank India.

People are assuming that he’s there to promote his overpriced gym supplement brand .

Many audience members felt that the pitch was not investment focused.

A few people are questioning, “whether Gaurav Taneja came just for marketing and not for investment.

In this entire episode Shark Tank Gaurav Taneja was just over confident of being an influencer.
